Warsaw (pps) On the occasion of his visit to Poland, the President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt from Berchtesgaden, has presented a luge sled to the Polish Sports Museum. During a little ceremony in Warsaw, the former World Champion handed the sled over to museum director Dr. Ivona Grys.

The official inauguration of the Polish Sports Museum, located in a new building of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Poland, is expected to occur in September. Among others, old posters of races of the past in Krynica and old diplomas of Lucian Swiderski will be exhibited there. In the Polish capital, Fendt also met with the country’s Deputy Sports Minister Grzegorz Szraiber as well as with representatives of the Polish NOC and luge federation.
