Maciej Kurowski announces official retirement

Jelenia Gora (RWH) Two-time Olympian Maciej Kurowski of Poland has announced his official retirement from the luge track. He published his withdrawal on his Facebook account.

At the 2010 Olympic Winter Gamers in Vancouver, Canada, Kurowski, who lives in Jelenia Gora, finished on 23rd place. Eight years later he came in 19th at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games of PyeongChang, Korea. There he finished on 8th place with the Team Relay of Poland. His best result was a 5th place at the 2015 European Championships. In men’s single his personal best was a 13th place at the 2011 World Championships of the International Luge Federation (FIL).
