Berchtesgaden (RWH) The management of the Slovenian Luge Federation headed by President Milan Sirse has just visited Josef Fendt, the President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), in Berchtesgaden. During the meeting in the FIL office, Slovenia’s work with young talents on both the artificial and the natural track was discussed, as were Slovenia’s efforts to enable at least one luger to compete in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, Korea. The meeting also addressed two applications regarding natural track racing: Slovenia would like to host a natural track World Cup in the 2015/2016 season and a Junior World Cup the following winter of 2016/2017. Association President Sirse was accompanied by Secretary General Vili Rakovec and Vice President Klemen Rev. The FIL was also represented in the exchange by Executive Director Christoph Schweiger.
