Thus, the Austrian is still record winner. The two-times World Champion celebrated totally 33 World Cup successes in his career. In second place is Georg Hackl (Germany) who managed totally 32 World Cup successes after the victory in Winterberg last weekend. Third is Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler from Italy with precisely 25 successes.
If one adds the World Cup victories in the men’s singles and doubles discipline, the Italian luge athlete Norbert Huber with totally 37 World Cup successes is record winner. Norber Huber won totally nine races in men’s singles and together with his partner Hansjoerg Raffle 28 World Cup races in the doubles discipline.
Georg Hackl reaches totally 35 World Cup successes. In 1985/86 and 1986/87, the three-times Olympic Champion won with his partner at that time, Stefan Ilsancker additionally three World Cup races (Koenigssee, Sarajevo and Koenigssee) in the doubles‘ discipline.
