Mazdzer shuts down Viessmann World Cup Season

Lake Placid (RWH) As the result of a neck injury incurred in mid-January, 2018 Olympic silver medalist Chris Mazdzer will miss the Viessmann World Cup season upcoming weekend in Sochi, Russia. He returned to the United States on Monday to be examined by USA Luge team doctor and orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Eugene Byrne, of Lake Placid Sports Medicine.

The injury took place as Mazdzer, who comoeted this seasion with Jayson Terdiman in doubles, pulled from the start handles to begin a singles training run at the recent World Championships.
