Berchtesgaden (pps) The President of the International Luge Federation (FIL) and the Sports Manager of the future Olympic track, Ivo Ferriani, have met in order to discuss current issues. At the FIL Office in Berchtesgaden, they talked about ways to optimize the Olympic track in Cesana Pariol. Prior to this, at the beginning of March, a meeting of FIL track construction experts, the projectors of the track and representatives of the Organizing Committee for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin (TOROC) had been held. Furthermore, sports events to be held at the Olympic track in the upcoming winter season were discussed.

The meeting also focused on the 53rd FIL Congress, which is scheduled to take place in Cesana on June 17/18. As this year’s Congress agenda neither includes elections nor changes to the International Luge Regulations, all delegates will have sufficient time to inspect the 2006 Olympic venue.
