A total of 3.16 million viewers followed the decision in the men’s singles in Altenberg when the Olympic and three-time World Champion defeated European Champion Andi Langenhan and Johannes Ludwig. This translates into a market share of 18.0 percent. Only the broadcasts of Biathlon in Hochfilzen (Austria) and Ski Jumping in Sochi (Russia) had better TV ratings. About 2.65 million viewers (market share of 13.4 percent) watched the Team Relay event. The live broadcasts of the women’s singles on Saturday were followed by 2.13 million viewers (market share of 18.2 percent) and 1.51 million spectators (market share of 17.3 percent) saw the doubles’ decision on ZDF.
