Natalie Maag, Jonas Müller and Müller-Frauscher Winner of Nationscup

Oberhof (RWH) Natalia Maag from Switzerland, Austria’s Jonas Müller and Yannick Müller/Armin Frauscher (AUT) are the winner of the Nations Cup, the qualifying races for the Viessmann Luge World Cup on Saturday and Sunday (February 1 – 2, 2020) in Oberhof, Germany. Like every year a lot of school kids watched the races on the artificial track.  

Natalie Maag relegated Olesya Mikhaylenko and Raluca Stramaturaru (ROU) to second and third place. In men’s race, Jonas Müller, the 2019 Sprint World Champion, won ahead of his team-mate Nico Gleirscher. Third place was shared by Jozef Ninis (SVK) and Sebastian Bley, who clocked exactly the same time. In double’s race,  second place went to Hannes Orlamünder-Paul Gubitz. As additional starter of Team Germany they are not allowed to compete in the Viessmann World Cup. Wojciech Chmielewski-Jakub Kowalewski (POL) captured third place ahead of Andrey Shander/Semen Mikov (KAZ).

Winner Yannick Müller is the younger brother of Jonas Müller. He is competing for the first season together with Armin Frauscher.
