Innsbruck-Igls (pps) Corinna Martini (GER), Sam Edney (CAN) and Ronny Pietrasik/Christian Weise are the winners of the Nation’s cup at Whistler. Corinna Martini, Silver Medalist of the European Championships 2010, won the qualification race for the Viessmann Luge World followed by Austria’s Mona Wabnigg and Russia’s Natalia Khoreva. Canada’s Kimberley McRae, who realized two weeks ago with 12th place at Igls her personal best rest result in World Cup, finished on 5th place behind Russia’s Ekatarina Baturina.
In men’s race Sam Edney captured the victory followed by Stepan Federov from Russia and Germany’s Ralf Palik. Bruno Banani from Tonga missed the qualification for the World Cup filmy, he finished on 19th place.
In double’s race Ronny Pietrasik/Christian Weise won the qualification race. Second place went to Alexandr Denisyev/Vladimir Antonov followed by Christian Niccum/Jason Terdiman (USA) followed.
