Lake Placid (pps) Erin Hamlin (USA), Felix Loch (GER) and Christian Niccum/Dan Joye are the winners of the Nations Cup at Lake Placid (USA). Erin Hamlin won in 44.231 seconds followed by Latvia’s Anna Orlova (44.654) and her team-mate Julia Clukey (44.717).
Germany’s Felix Loch took the victory in 52.574 seconds. Second Place went to Patrick Schwienbacher (52.829) followed by Germany’s Johannes Ludwig (52.574). Bengt Walden, who in previous years started for Sweden and married Ashley Hayden in the summer, finished his first race for the US-team on ninth place and was qualified for the Viessmann Luge World Cup to be held on Saturday.
In doubles, the victory went to Niccum/Joye (44.000) followed by the German teams Andre Florschütz/Torsten Wustlich (44.162) and Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt (44.268).
