Winterberg (pps) Latvia’s Maija Tiruma, her team-mates Andris and Juris Sics and Andi Langenhan from Germany are the winners of the Nations Cup at Winterberg, Germany.
Maija Turima won the women’s race in a time of 59,080 seconds followed by her team-mate Anna Orlova (59,121) und Italy’s Sarah Podorieszach (59,460).
The men’s race was won by Germany’s Andi Langenhan (54,935). Second Place went to Gregory Carigiet (55,338) from Switzerland followed by Austria’s Manuel Pfister (55, 606). Langenhan won as well the Nations Cup at Calgary, Canada, but was disqualified after the race due to overweight.
In double’s race the Sics-brothers from Latvia took the victory. Germany's Pietrasik/Weise finished on second place, but are not allowed to compete in the Viessmann World cup, because there are already three pairs from Germany. The two US-Pairs Duos Niccum/Joe (45,707) and Mortensen/Griffall (45,734) finished on places three and four.
