It is just a good feeling to win", beamed the 33-year-old winner from Sinaia.

In the Nations Cup of the doubles, Juri Gatt and Riccardo Schöpf were the fastest in 43.420 seconds. The two 21-year-old Austrians won the opening race of the EBERSPÄCHER World Cup in Innsbruck and started in the Nations Cup for only the second time this winter. Normally the two Tyroleans are to be found in the seeded group. Second place went to the local heroes from Winterberg Robin Geueke and David Gamm (+0.036) ahead of their teammates Max Ewald and Jakob Jannusch (+0.133).
