The natural track section of the FIL International Luge Federation will go its own way in the social media in the future. The presence of the natural track luge on Facebook and Instagram will be decoupled from the channels of the artificial track area.

"With this decision we want to sharpen our profile and address our target groups in a targeted manner," says Caroline Kammerlander, the natural track's social media-officer. Also with regard to a possible Olympic participation of natural track luge in 2026, an independent appearance in the networks is an advantage. "We have worked hard on the new channels in the last few weeks and months, the tension - but also the anticipation - is increasing". The separation of natural track / artificial track only affects the channels in the social networks, otherwise both areas remain under the umbrella of the International Luge Federation FIL.

The 2020/2021 season of the FIL Luge World Cup on natural track begins on December 10th in Kühtai (AUT).
