After a number of workshops the group, which has been installed to improve the development of natural track luge, has presented first results. The FIL Executive Board has already approved the planned course of action. The defined goal is to be ready for the 2018 Olympic Games.

The Executive Board decided on other key points, which were to apply for the inclusion of natural track luge in the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in the Czech Republic and to further increase the number of active national federations on at least three continents. Moreover, efforts will be made to get natural track luge into the program of the 2012 and 2016 Youth Olympic Winter Games.
