Berchtesgaden (pps) The new President of Austria’s Luge Federation (ÖRV) has paid a visit to the headquarters of the International Luge Federation (FIL). Dr. Michael Bielowski was accompanied by Secretary General Reinhard Poller, Gerhard Kleinhofer, new ÖRV Vice President, Peter Knauseder, new President of the luge association in Tyrol, as well as Sandra Mariner, who is responsible for the organization of the 62nd FIL Congress on June 20-21 in Innsbruck.

FIL President Josef Fendt emphasized the close cooperation between the FIL and Austria’s luge federation ÖRV. He furthermore expressed his hopes for its continuation under the new leadership for the benefit of the sport of luge. During the visit the current state of preparations for the upcoming FIL Congress as well as the Natural Track Luge World Championships in St. Sebastian (AUT) in January 2015 were discussed.
