Berchtesgaden (RWH) The International Luge Federation (FIL) calendar for 2014-2015 features nine Viessmann Luge World Cups in six countries on two continents, with the highlight of the season, the World Championships in the Latvian town of Sigulda, on 14–15 February 2015. The Viessmann Luge World Cup starts in Innsbruck-Igls (AUT) and then moves on to Lake Placid (USA) and Calgary (CAN). After the Christmas break, the athletes can be found in Europe with races in Königssee, Oberhof and Winterberg (all GER), followed by Lillehammer (NOR), Altenberg (GER) and Sochi (RUS), which hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics in February. The final Viessmann Luge World Cup event will also count as the 46th FIL European Luge Championships.
