Berchtesgaden (pps) In the past winter, the sport of luge remained clean again. During the 2004/2005 season, no infringement of the doping regulations was registered by the International Luge Federation.
„In spite of numerous controls carried out by WADA, the doping agency of the International Olympic Committee, and despite many national tests, there was again no doping offense during the past winter“, said FIL President Josef Fendt in Berchtesgaden. The last two doping cases within the FIL, which date back five years, had to do with cannabis abuse. Both athletes were punished by the corresponding national federations.
