Riga (pps) As in the past years there were no doping offenses during the events of the International Luge Federation, FIL, in the 2011-2012 season. The same holds true for the training controls of the FIL, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) as well as the National Anti-Doping Agencies (NADA) as FIL President Josef Fendt reported at the 60th Annual Congress of the International Luge Federation in Riga, Latvia. “Fortunately, we once again had no doping offense in luge. This is why we can still be referred to as ‘a clean sport’,“ said Fendt at the FIL Congress in Riga. Unfortunately, the FIL Medical Commission reported and criticized some “missed tests” for athletes from different nations. “In one case, a reprimand was imposed,” as the report of the Medical Commission showed.
