Norbert Huber appointed assistant coach in China

Bijing (RWH) China and its capital Beijing are stepping up their efforts in the luge competition. The hosts of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games have appointed trusted expert Norbert Huber (ITA) as assistant to head coach Wolfgang Schädler.

Norbert Huber, who was previously on the coaching staff of the Italian association, and his doubles partner Hans Jörg Raffl still hold the record for number of overall wins in the Viessmann World Cup. The duo amassed a total of eight overall titles. The 1990 World Champions took silver at the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer (NOR) in 1994, and bronze in Albertville (FRA) in 1992. In the singles event, Norbert Huber, whose brothers Günther, Willy and Arnold also won medals in luge and bobsleigh, took World Championship bronze in 1999.
