Oberhof (pps) At the World Cup in Oberhof the podium might well sport a sign “Reserved for German lugers”. As in 2011, the decisions in the men’s and women’s singles at the 2012 World Cup on the 1970 built, artificially iced track were an all-German affair: Felix Loch ahead of David Moeller and Andi Langenhan in the men’s singles and Natalie Geisenberger, Tatjana Huefner and Anke Wischnewski in the women’s singles. And even in the doubles two German teams - namely Eggert-Benecken and Wendl-Arlt - headed the result sheets. The eventual overall World Cup winners Andreas and Wolfgang Linger of Austria were able to claim a third-place finish. Last but not least Germany also won the Team Relay event ahead of Italy and Russia.
