Second place went to Schiegl/Schiegl followed by Leitner/Resch
Winterberg (pps) Italy’s Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber celebrated their second victory of the pre-Olympic season. At the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Winterberg (GER) the European Champions 2008, who created in 44,145 Seconds in the first run a new track record, realized their 11th success in World Cup and overtook the leading position in the overall World Cup with 260 points.
They won in a total time of one minute 28,462 seconds followed by Austria’s Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl (0,077 seconds back). Third place went to Olympic Champions 2002, Germany’s Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (0,404 seconds back). It was the best Result of the pre-Olympic season for the four-time World Champions.
USA’s Christian Niccum/Daniel Joye (0,826 back) finished on 5th place and realized their best result of the season.
