Lake Placid (RWH) Olympic Champion Germany has won the 25th edition of the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW. The German team made up of Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and doubles duo Toni Eckert and Sascha Benecken came first in the innovative competition that has been a fixed component of the world cup schedule since the 2010/2011 winter season. Italy's Sandra Robatscher, Dominik Fischnaller and doubles team Christian Oberstolz and Patrick Gruber came second on the challenging artificial track in Lake Placid. Third place went to host USA represented by Erin Hamlin, Tucker West and doubles team Matthew Mortensen and Jayson Terdiman.
