Zwickau (pps) Karl Zenker is on his way to recovery. After a long hospital stay in Zwickau, Germany, the chairman of the Sport Commission of the International Luge Federation (FIL) could now be discharged from hospital.

Immediately after the Olympic Winter Games in Turin, where he had been Jury president, Zenker had to undergo surgery and spent several weeks in the intensive care unit. The FIL was very relieved when this critical phase was overcome. His tasks as chairman of the expert commission were temporarily assumed by Vice-President Sport, Claire DelNegro (USA).
