Berchtesgaden (PMA) Current World Champion Patrick Pigneter from Italy and Austrian Michael Scheikl have been elected as athlete representatives of the International Luge Federation (FIL). They will join the Natural Track Commission. “It is a big honour to represent all the athletes and it will be a challenging task”, Scheikl said. Both are elected for four years. “Last year I took part at the FIL Congress and it is really interesting to listen to the different commissions. It is a big possibility for us as athletes to help to develop our sport”, Pigneter adds.
