Kühtai (pma) - Tyrol was host of the season kick-off of GRM Group Luge World Cup in Natural Track. A parallel race was held on a 290 meter long track. After several knock-out rounds Italians Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara won the race. It was their 30th career World Cup win in Doubles. Second place went to Russia and Aleksandr Egorov and Petr Popov. Small final was won by local heroes Christoph Regensburger and Dominik Holzknecht from Austria. We had no run without mistakes. The course isn’t easy but it is perfect to present a top sport.” Aleksandr Egorov (RUS): „We wanted to win today. Unfortunately we had a big mistake at one of the first corners. On a short parallel track it is not possible to gain time against Pigneter/Clara” Christoph Regensburger (AUT): „We are happy with the podium.
