Postponement of the EBERSPAECHER World Cup doubles event in Lake Placid

Weather-related schedule adjustment at the EBERSPAECHER Luge World Cup

Lake Placid (FIL/December 19, 2025) Due to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions, particularly strong winds, the schedule for the current EBERSPAECHER Luge World Cup had to be adjusted.

In order to continue to ensure fair competition conditions for all athletes, to give the track crew sufficient time for preparation, and to ensure safety on and off the track, the women's and men's doubles competitions have been postponed to Saturday, December 20, at 8:45 a.m. (EST/local time NY).

The women's singles race will take place as planned today at 6:30 p.m. (EST). The men's singles competitions and both mixed races will also be held according to the current schedule.

The FIL would like to thank all athletes, coaches, officials, partners, and fans for their understanding.
