Premiere: Josef Fendt curve at World Cup

Königssee (FIL) For the first time, the new "Josef Fendt Curve" will be a technical part of the EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cup on January 2 and 3, 2021. In honor of the long-time FIL President, Josef Fendt, who retired at the end of November after 26 years at the helm of the FIL, the luge curve of the LOTTO Bayern Eisarena Königssee was renamed "Josef Fendt Curve". The personalized name plaque was symbolically presented to the successful sports official at the FIL Online Congress in November 2020 and can now be admired at the ice track in Königssee.

Due to the current Corona restrictions, FIL Honorary President Josef Fendt unfortunately cannot be present at the World Cup races. However, he will follow all the races on television.
