Premiere of FIL Studio live was a great success
Park City (FIL/14 Dec 2022) As a supplement to the linear TV broadcasts, the FIL launched a digital offensive in the field of sports coverage during the race weekend in Whistler. For the first time, live streaming was broadcasted via the FIL YouTube channel and, in addition, a second channel was set up with “FIL Studio live” on which background information, analyses, interviews and much more could be seen in English.
The premiere of “FIL Studio live” was a great success. “I was very nervous, but it was great fun. The Live Studio is a great chance to explain our sport and bring it even closer to the audience with interviews at the start or finish line,” said Kate Hansen, former Olympian of the U.S. National Team and the face of FIL Studio.

And FIL Secretary General Dwight Bell added: “We were extremely pleased with the launch of our FIL Studio. The state-of-art technology worked perfectly, and the content was very entertaining. It will only get better from here on out. Our fan base can get behind the scenes content when and where they want it.”
The program will be broadcast live 30 minutes before the start of the race, between the runs and after the end of the race from the start, at the finish or from the specially set-up studio on site. Famous faces in the luge scene will give viewers and luge fans interesting insights into the fastest sport on ice, including Kate Hansen (former athlete of the U.S. National Team), Chris Mazdzer (silver medalist in PyeongChang 2018) and Tim Singer (voice and face of FIL Live Streaming).
