Berchtesgaden (pps) The President of Poland’s Luge Federation, Michal Jasnosz, has paid a visit to the headquarters of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Berchtesgaden. Among the topics of discussion with FIL President Josef Fendt and Executive Director Christoph Schweiger were the current state of affairs as well as the future of luge in Poland. Jasnosz informed the FIL that the cooperation with the German Bobsleigh and Sled Sports Federation (BSD) will be continued as part of the FIL Solidarity Program.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, Poland’s quartet of Natalia Wojtuscisyn, Maciej Kurowski and Patryk Poreba-Karol Mikrut had surprisingly claimed an eighth place finish in the Team Relay event, thereby providing an important basis for the future support. In the women’s singles Wojtuscisyn had earned a 16th place finish while the doubles team of Poreba-Mikrut posted a 15th place result.
