PyeongChang (RWH) On May 16, it’s 1,000 days to go to the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. The Organising Committee POCOG celebrates this date with two days of ceremonies taking place in Gangneung, Jeongseon, PyeongChang and the capital Seoul. POCOG president Yang Ho Cho will open the celebration with a speech at a ceremony in Seoul. Games ambassadors including Korean Olympian Yu-na Kim will be in Chuncheon, the capital of the Gangwon Province, for the host region ceremony. Organizers also plan to reveal the PyeongChang 2018 slogan accompanied by cultural performances and on-site interviews with locals at venue cities.
