Koenigssee (RWH) PyeongChang, which will be hosting the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, has provided the federations for luge (FIL) and bobsleigh/skeleton (FIBT) with information on the status of preparations at a meeting in Koenigssee. At the meeting attended by FIL and FIBT presidents Josef Fendt and Ivo Ferriani and track construction experts from both federations, reports were given by representatives of Gangwon Province, the companies involved and the Organising Committee (POCOG) on the construction plans for the artificial ice track. The ice track at Koenigssee was used to illustrate how the future Olympic track in South Korea would look.
