Sigulda (pps) Ukraine`s Liliya Ludan, Latvia`s Nauris Skraustins and Sebastian Schmidt/Andre Forker from Germany have won the Qualifying for the first Viessmann Luge World Cup 2003-04 in Sigulda (Latvia).
Qualified for the women`s race on Saturday (November 15th) are Nina Reithmayer (AUT) Natalia Yakuschenko (UKR), Ashley Hayden (USA), Gabi Bender (GER), Aija Katvoska (LAT), Alexandra Rodionova, Julia Anashkina, Margarita Klimenko (all RUS) and Anahita Panjwani (NOR).
The final round for doubles on Saturday reached together with Schmidt/Forker Russia`s Ivan Nevmergiski/Vladimir Prohorov, Peston Griffal/Daniel Joye (CAN), Zigmars Berkolds/Dandris Berzins und Andris Sics/Lauris Berzins (all LAT).
For the final of the men`s race on Sunday are qualified with Skraustins his teammate Juris Sics, Kiril Serikov (RUS), Anton Hörhager (AUT), Yann Fricheteau (FRA) John Myles (USA), Michael Kvicala (CZE), Jeff Christie (CAN) Alexander Kasjanov (RUS), Julien Decharne (FRA) und Patrick Dietzsch (GER).
