Armin Zöggeler: “A little bit surprised about this Success”

Calgary (pps) Italy’s Armin Zöggeler didn’t expected his 46th victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup at Calgary. “I’m a little bit surprised about this success”, he said in Calgary Olympic Park. Germany’s David Möller, who realized four of his eight World Cup victories at Calgary, was not disappointed. “I’m satisfied: I’m the best of the German team, I collected important points for our Olympic selection. And maybe I preserved the victory for a more important race this winter”, he said.

The Quotes

“I’m a little bit surprise about this success. The key for the victory have been two solid runs without any big mistakes. In an Olympic winter the overall World cup is not so important. I’m just thinking from race to race.” Armin Zöggeler

(ITA / Two-Time Olympic Champion and five-time World Champion)

”I’m satisfied: I’m the best of the German team. I collected important points for our Olympic selection. And maybe I preserved the victory for a more important race in this winter.”

David Möller

(GER / two-time World Champion)

“This result is okay. It was god for the first race of the winter. My goal is to make solids runs and not so many crashes like the years before.”
