Scheikl and Lanthaler fastest qualifier

Kühtai (PMA) - Austrian Michael Scheikl was the fastest Men on track today. He won the Qualification for Sunday's parallel race at the first World Cup of the season in Kühtai. Second place went to Italy's Patrick Pigneter. Third place went to Alex Gruber (ITA). 24 men are qualified for the finals on Sunday.

Women's qualification was won by World Champion Evelin Lanthaler. The Italian scored the fastest time in her second run. Austrian Tina Unterberger finished second and last years Overall World Cup winner Ekaterina Lavrentyeva from Russia placed third.
