Calgary (pps) Season’ opener in Viessmann Luge World Cup at Calgary/Canada will starts without reigning World Champions in doubles. Italy’s Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder, who won Gold at the Worlds 2009 in Lake Placid/USA, will not compete on Friday. The reason is a back injury of Gerhard Plankensteiner.
He travelled already back to Europe to get help from a specialist at Munich/Germany. Plankensteiner hopes to come back to the Viessmann World Cup at Igls (November 28 -30).
