Second IOC webinar series on gender equality

Lausanne (FIL) In March 2021, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) hosted a gender equality webinar series for the second time after September 2020.

Male Allyship, creating a gender equality action plan and developing initiatives to increase the number of female technical officials were the three topics covered in the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) second webinar series on gender equality in the Olympic Movement. In total, around 1,850 participants from International Federations (IFs), National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and National Federations (NFs) registered for the online sessions.

The webinars took place throughout the month of March 2021. In collaboration with the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations (AIOWF), the IOC hosted another round of online presentations and discussions.

The stated aim was to provide practical examples and initiatives that Olympic Movement stakeholders can implement to increase the number of women leaders in sport in line with the Olympic Agenda 2020+5.
