Shiva Keshavan defends title as Asia Champion

Altenberg (RWH) Shiva Keshavan from India has successfully defended his title as Champion of Asia in Luge. On the artificial track of Altenberg (GER) the five-time Olympian won ahead of Te-An Lien (TPE) and Korea’s Doung Kyu Kang.

Women’s title went to Eunryung Sung (KOR). Her teammate Aileen Frisch crashed and lost all chances. In Doubles Korea’s Jinyong Park-Jung Myung captured their first title in front of Roman Yefremov-Denis Tatyanchenko (KAZ).

Due to technical reasons the Asian Championship took place in Altenberg in the line with Nation’s Cup. The winner of nation’s Cup were Andi Langenhan (GER), Jessica  Tiebel and Latvia’s Gudramovics/Peteris Kalnins.  As an additional Starter for Germany Jessica Tiebel is not allowed to compete on Sunday in the Viessmann Luge World Cup.
