Winterberg. Germany`s Silke Kraushaar at the 40th FIL European Championships defended her title and won her fourth European title after 1998, 2002 und 2004. The Olympic Champion of 1998 at the Bobtrack in Winterberg (Germany) in a total time of one minute 30,607 seconds banned her teammate Tatjana Hüfner (one minute 30,761 seconds) to second rank. Like 2000 and 2002, bronze went to Barbara Niedernhuber (GER, 1:30,936).
Olympic Champion Sylke Otto after a bad first run reached the second run only tightly. But with the second best time in second run, Otto finished sixth (one minute 31,281seconds).
