Nagano (pps) Silke Kraushaar-Pielach dominates the women’s races in Viessmann Luge World Cup. The Olympic Champion 1998 and World Champion 2004 from Germany celebrated at the 4th event at Nagano (Japan) her third victory of the season and the 31st overall. She leads the overall standing with 385 points, 85 ahead of her team-mate Tatjana Hüfner (300).
Silke Kraushaar-Pielach, who won both titles 1998 and 2004 at Nagano, won in a total time of one minute 40,804 seconds followed by team-mate Sylke Otto. Two-time Olympic Champion Otto is still waiting for the first success in her last season. Third place went to Tatjana Hüfner (1:41,372).
Ashley Hayden (1:41,715) finished 4th and realized the best result for the US-team in this season. Canada’s Reagan Lauscher came in on 8th place.
