Six Junior World Cups and the Junior WCh in Winterberg 2022

Salzburg (FIL) The international season calendar for 2021/22 in the field of juniors and youth A on artificial track was decided by the FIL Executive Board with a large majority.

There will be six Junior World Cups in France, Austria and Germany. The season's highlight for the young luge talents will take place with the 37th Junior World Championships in Winterberg (GER) from 24 to 29 January 2022.

After the international training week and the World Cup opener in China, which will certainly be attended by the juniors of some nations, the first and second FIL Junior/Youth A World Cup will be held for the young lugers on artificial track in La Plagne, France, from 29 November to 4 December 2021. The 1992 Olympic track will host the opening event of the junior series.

Before Christmas, the young lugers will travel to Innsbruck (AUT) for the third World Cup from December 6 to 11. In the following week (13 to 19 December), the fourth and fifth World Cup are planned in Oberhof (GER) in Thuringia. In January, the World Cup finals of the juniors and youth A will take place on the new artificial track in Bludenz (AUT). 

The season's highlight for the young luge athletes will see Winterberg in Sauerland (GER) with the 37th Junior World Championships from 24 to 29 January 2022.
