“Sled doctor” Wolfgang Ros turns 70

Berchtesgaden (RWH): Wolfgang Ros, a sled technician working on behalf of the International Luge Federation (FIL), will celebrate his 70th birthday at home in Thüringen on 17 February 2019. The FIL’s “sled doctor” is an expert in his field and has been providing equipment-based support at various events for a number of years. The main beneficiaries of his expertise are the smaller national associations. As a result, Ros (and previously his former assistant Gerhard Kircher) makes an important contribution to the safety of the equipment and athletes.

In the post-Olympic winter, Ros attended several Viessmann World Cup races, the FIL World Championships in Winterberg, and the Youth European Championships in St. Moritz (SUI), which also served as a trial run for the 2020 Youth Olympic Games.
