Sochi Golden Moments – Golden Luge Moments for Germany

Berchtesgaden (FIL/22 Oct 2025) From start to finish, the German luge team made history at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Four gold medals and one silver – with perfect runs, strong team spirit, and unforgettable emotions, the athletes left a lasting mark on these Games.

With victories by Natalie Geisenberger in women’s singles, Felix Loch in men’s singles, Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt in men’s doubles, and the team relay premiere, which also claimed gold, Sochi became a milestone in the history of German luge.

These outstanding achievements inspired a whole generation of athletes and made the Sochi Olympic Games a symbol of precision, passion, and success.
