Some 140 athletes from 24 nations set to compete at the 46th FIL World Championships in Königssee

Königssee (RWH) Some 140 athletes from 24 nations have registered to compete at the 46th International Luge Federation (FIL) World Championships on the artificial ice track in Königssee from 29 to 31 January 2016. FIL Sports Director Maria Luise Rainer announced that 44 men, 41 women and 27 doubles pairings had registered for the event. 13 teams are expected to take to the start line in the team relay competition.
The following nations have registered: Australia (AUS), Austria (AUT), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Bulgaria (BUL), Canada (CAN), Croatia (CRO), Czech Republic (CZE) Great Britain (GBR), Italy (ITA), Japan (JPN), Korea (KOR), Latvia (LAT), Norway (NOR), Poland (POL), Romania (ROU), Russia (RUS), Slovenia (SLO), Switzerland (SUI), Slovakia (SVK), Chinese Taipei (TPE), Turkey (TUR), Ukraine (UKR), United States of America (USA) and Germany (GER) as hosts.
