Comprehensive agenda for FIL President Josef Fendt at SportAccord London (pps) The President of the International Luge Federation (FIL), Josef Fendt of Germany, together with his Secretary General Svein Romstad, has just visited SportAccord in London with a comprehensive agenda. On Monday (4 April), the former World Champion attended a meeting of AIOWF, the Association of the seven International Olympic Winter Sports Federations, while on Tuesday (5 April) he met with the six other winter sports presidents and the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and also discussed the status of bids to host the 2018 Winter Olympics with representatives of the candidate cities Annecy (France), Pyeongchang (South Korea) and Munich (Germany). On Wednesday, the FL President received the congratulation of his counterpart Ivo Ferriani (Italy) of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (FIBT) on the inclusion of the Team Relay event into the program of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Fendt’s agenda also covered a number of discussions with several National Olympic Committees (NOCs) before SportAccord’s closing event on Friday (8 April).
