Winterberg (RWH) The winners in Nation’s Cup in Luge in Winterberg are Summer Britcher (USA), Germany’s Johannes Ludwig and in doubles Oskars Gudramovics-Peteris Kalnins of Latvia. At the qualification race for the Viessmann World Cup this weekend (24-25 January 2015) Summer Britcher, who won Gold at the 2012 Youth Olympic Games with the US relay, prevailed against European Champion Natalia Khoreva and Ekatarina Baturina, both of Russia. In men’s race Johannes Ludwig, bronze medalist of the 2013 World Championships, relegated Russia’s Evgeniy Voskresenskiy and Emanuel Rieder of Italy to second and third. Gudramovics-Kalnins won in doubles’ race. Second and third place went to Italy’s Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner and Denis Groshev/Jury Prokhorov of Russia.
