Innsbruck-Igls (pps) All reigning World Champions won the 2nd SUZIKI Challenge Cup on the Olympic track at Innsbruck-Igls, Austria. Germany’s Tatjana Hüfner, David Möller and Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch took the victory in the final runs.
Tatjana Hüfner (40,601), the Bronze Medallist of the 2006 Turino Olympic Winter games, defeated in the women’s final former Olympic Champion Silke Kraushaar (40,201) from Germany. Third Place went to Austria’s Veronika Halder (40,362), who defeated Erin Hamlin (40,397) from USA in the small finale.
World Champions Möller won in 49,160 second the big finale vs. Austria’s Martin Abentung (49,246). Italy’s Armin Zöggeler (49,113) defeated in the small finale Germany’s Jan Eichhorn (49,401).
Leitner/Resch won the double’s race by defeating Austria’s Olympic Champions Andreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger. Third place went to Italy’s Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber, who defeated their team-mates Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder in the small final.
