Sigulda (pps). After the preliminaries to the to the fourth and last race of the season to SUZUKI Challenge Cup on the luge track in Sigulda (Latvia) two winners of the overall ranking are already found.
Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler (ITA), who was 95 points in front of Germany’s World Champion David Möller on second rank, with reaching the semifinals will be at least fourth and get at least 360 points. Möller, when winning in Sigulda, can get a maximum of 305 points. For Zöggeler it is the third overall victory in SUZUKI Challenge Cup after 1999/2000 and 2000/2001.
At the first semifinal of men (Start 18th February, 12.00 h/ 13.00 h local time) participate World Champion David Möller (GER) and two times Olympic Champion Zöggeler. Olympic bronze medallist Martins Rubenis (LAT), and Olympic silver medallist Albert Demtschenko from Russia takke part at the second semifinal race.

Silke Kraushaar-Pielach (GER), Olympic Champion 1998, World Champion 2004 and three times European Champion was already the Champion of the SUZUKI Challenge Cups before the race in Sigulda.
In the semifinals of women compete World Champion Tatjana Hüfner and Vice-World Champion Anke Wischnewski (both Germany) as well as the fourth of European Championships Natalia Yakushenko (UKR) and Veronika Halder from Austria.

In the doubles semifinals participate four times World Champions Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch (GER) and Olympic bronze medallists Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder from Italy. In the second semifinal race start overall leaders Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber (ITA) and Olympic Champions Andreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger from Austria.
