Koenigssee (pps) The SUZUKI Team Relay will be carried out in Koenigssee with slight modifications. Based on the experiences gathered at the two events in Lake Placid and Winterberg the International Luge Federation, FIL, amended the regulations prior to the relay competitions in Koenigssee and Sigulda and of course for the FIL European Championships in Cesana-Pariol on January 12-13, 2008 and the FIL World Championships in Oberhof on January 25-27, 2008. The rules with regard to the hard- and software at false starts were specified.

Additionally, the assignment of coaches has been regularised during a meeting of the FIL Team Relay Commission. In order to avoid radio messages from the finish to the start area, the athletes will have to manage start preparations all alone. With immediate effect the Technical Delegate will determine the area up to where coaches may accompany their athletes. From now on, all participants will have to fend for themselves behind that red line.
