Lillehammer (RWH) The probably oldest track record in Luge belongs to the past. By winning the Nation’s cup in Lillehammer (NOR) Russia’s Tatiana Ivanova improved the 20 year old record of Gabi Kohlisch of Germany (47,883 seconds). Tatiana Ivanova, two-time European Champion, finished on the Olympic track of 1994 winter Games after 47.733 seconds. Second and third place in the qualification race for the Viessmann Luge World this weekend went to Katja Katnikova of Russia and the Olympic bronze medalist Erin Hamlin of the USA. In Men’s race was won by Austria’s Armin Frauscher followed by Riks Kristens Rozitis and Evgeniy Voskresenskiy of Russia. In doubles race Russia’s Andrey Bogdanov-Andrey Medvedev relegated Thomas Steu-Lorenz Koller and Florian Gruber-Simon Kainzwaldner of Italy to second and third.
