Oberhof (pps). Germany’s luge team dominated the qualifying of the Viessmann luge World cup in Oberhof (Germany). Tatjana Hüfner, last winter Silver Medallist at the European Championships, Andi Langenhan and Christian Baude/Marcel Lorenz won the ticket for the World Cup race on January 1 and 2. Tatjana Hüfner took the lead in 42,753 seconds followed by Marketa Jeriova (42,953) from Czech Republic and Austria’s Sonja Manzenreiter (42,978). Andi Langenhan won in 45,640 seconds. Second place went to Canada`s Jeff Christie (45,765), third place to Russia`s Alexander Kasjanov (45,938). In Doubles Christian Baude/Marcel Lorenz won in 42,409 seconds followed by Italy`s Gerhard Plankensteiner/Oswald Haselrieder (42,497) and Ivan Nevmergiski/Vladimir Prochorov (42,892) from Russia .
